Your GrowFL honoree video starts here
Congratulations on your selection as a Florida Companies to Watch honoree. TheRiot Agency is producing your interview video for GrowFL. This page tells you what to expect on shoot day and asks a few questions so we arrive ready.
Our goal
We want to tell your story, so it should look and feel like no one else's. The essence of a strong brand is a unique selling proposition, and that is what we hope to capture. We keep it a casual conversation: down to earth, real, unrehearsed and fun. The audience is your peers, not your prospects. Short answers are the most memorable, so we look for the shrink-wrapped version of your story. Brief answers and insights are the ones most likely to make the final cut.
What happens on shoot day
Scout
We look around your location for a photo-worthy setting that is quiet enough to record audio and that sets you apart from the pack.
Shoot
We ask questions about your company and your experience with GrowFL. It is a conversation, not a script. You can pause, restart or skip anything.
B-roll
We capture your company in action, and usually an establishing shot of your building. No sound is needed for most of this, so work can carry on.
Wrap
We put the gear away and leave your location the way we found it.
How long each part takes
- 15–30 minScouting
- 45–60 minSetup
- 60 minVideo interview
- 1–5 hrsB-roll (manufacturers take longer than service providers)
- 30–60 minWrap
What to wear
Business attire means something different at every company. Wear what you normally wear for a typical day at yours. If in doubt, bring a few choices.
Do wear
Solid colors. Color, neutrals and pastels. Low contrast such as grey, cream, ecru and light blue.
Avoid
Small patterns, tweed, herringbone and small plaid. Overly bright colors such as magenta, bright yellow and neon. Black and bright white, though we can make them work.
Men
We may apply a little face powder to reduce shine. If you have oily skin, wash your face just before we shoot. We are not out to make you look artificial. We want to reduce distractions so the audience can focus on your message.
Women
Your own makeup is fine, but please, no sparkle. Anything that reflects light is nearly impossible to remove in video and it distracts from you.
