Happy New Year!

By now everybody should be recovering from the holiday/new year hangover and settled back into the swing of things. We’re not talking about the hangover from all the champagne and eggnog you had over the holidays, but the scramble the end of Q4 and the holiday season brings.

As always, a new year brings new opportunities and new resolutions to live by. 2018 is no different. For businesses, it’s always ‘this year we want to expand more’, ‘this year we want to be our best year yet’ and ‘this year we’ll expand our marketing efforts to achieve the first two resolutions’. Unfortunately, the latter of those three gets dropped just as quick as the folks who start to make excuses not to continue their new exercise regimen.

Now, that’s not always the case. For most, all of the intentions are good, but most of the time, business don’t know where to start. Do we start social media right away? Is it better to post more as opposed to posting quality? Do we have anybody on staff that can shoot video? What is ‘remarketing’? Do we need to update our website? All of those questions at once can be daunting and at times, feel overwhelming. Don’t feel discouraged, it is a lot to chew on.

What’s Next?

Over the next few months, we’re going to dive in a little deeper on the journey we take and the one we take with our partners – taking the proper steps to planning out your year’s marketing strategy, building out the deliverables, executing the plan and adjusting your strategy based on your results.

We understand that starting with a blank slate is tough, so we’ve gone ahead and provided the 2018 marketing calendar and 2018 social media calendar that we use in-house and with our partners. These two templates are the first place you should begin and essential when laying out the plan. You can download them here for FREE on our resources page.

Check back shortly for more news as we cover 2018 social media strategy, CRM best practices, drip campaign marketing, customer journeys, essential video tips, remarketing tactics and new tools available for businesses as the year goes on.
